Yang menjadi masalah, kriteria A players berbeda-beda di setiap perusahan. Sangat tidak realistis jika Anda hanya mau merekrut A players.<\/p>\n<p>Karyawan seperti apa yang masuk ke dalam kategori A players dan B players? Menurut upstarthr.com;<br \/>\nA players adalah pemain-pemain berprestasi. Mereka adalah karyawan-karyawan yang memprioritaskan kehidupan profesional diatas kehidupan personal dan keluarganya karena mereka terus berusaha mencapai prestasi lebih dan tingkatan lebih di perusahaannya. A players adalah orang-orang yang berani mengambil resiko, memiliki potensi tinggi dan perusahaan senang mencari dan merekrut mereka. Mereka juga pemain-pemain yang cepat meninggalkan perusahan jika mendapatkan kesempatan lebih di tempat lain.<\/p>\n<p>B players adalah karyawan-karyawan kompeten dengan performa yang stabil dan yang suka menyeimbangkan kehidupan kerja serta kehidupan pribadinya. B players cenderung loyal, tidak memerlukan banyak perhatian dan selalu menyelesaikan pekerjaannya. Karena B players adalah orang-orang yang loyal, mereka cenderung membawa sejarah perusahaan bersama diri mereka.<\/p>\n<p>Sebuah penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Google Aristotle tentang bagaimana membentuk tim yang efektif, menyebutkan bahwa preferensi perusahaan akan A players membuat mereka mengabaikan nilai-nilai yang bisa diberikan oleh B players.<\/p>\n<p>Seperti yang saya telah amati di berbagai perusahaan kecil, menengah hingga besar dalam berbagai industri, pemain-pemain A players cenderung kesulitan menyesuaikan diri dengan budaya perusahaan dan tidak mampu berkolaborasi dengan para koleganya. B players, di sisi lain, tidak terlalu peduli dengan idealisme atau kepentingan pribadinya, dan akan melakukan apa pun untuk membahagiakan pelanggan, membantu rekan kerjanya dan menjaga reputasi perusahaan.
